River Rules and Campground Guidelines

Fun Has a Few Ground Rules.

Know Before You Float, Camp, or Kick Back.

This isn’t our first float, and it won’t be your last if everyone plays by the rules. Here’s what to know before you launch, camp, or kick back at Diamondhead Resort.
  • Reservations are highly recommended. No deposit needed.

  • We’ll hold your spot until 10:00 AM on float day. After that, it’s first come, first served.

  • Rain or shine, the river runs. We float either way.

  • Kids 10 ad under float for $10.00 regardless if it’s a raft or kayak

  • No kids under 2 years old in rafts.

  • No kids under 5 years old in canoes.

  • Pets are welcome, but please clip their nails first. Sharp claws and inflatable boats do not mix.

  • Leave wallets, rings, cameras, and anything valuable behind or locked up.

  • We’ll hold your car keys at the front desk if you want peace of mind.

  • You’re on the hook for your canoe, raft, and gear until it’s checked back in.

  • Every float includes life jackets and shuttle service.

  • All campers must float with Diamondhead Resort unless you’ve made special arrangements with management.

  • Picnic tables and trash cans are spread across the campground. Please use them.

  • Break or damage anything on the property and you’ll be asked to leave. No refunds.

  • Quiet hours run from midnight to 7:00 AM. Keep the volume down and the language clean.

We don’t allow guns of any kind on the property. That includes open carry and concealed carry.

  • No glass bottles or Styrofoam coolers on the river.

  • Everyone gets a life jacket. Kids under 12 must wear them at all times.

  • Do not tie boats together. It’s a safety risk and comes with a $206 fine from state rangers.

Private boats are not allowed on Diamondhead property.

We do not allow overnight float trips.
